I have this on my Acer Aspire 8730G computer :

Trouble with driver update
When I try to configure the driver installation, I get the message that the kernel sources are needed, but the instructions say I don't need to re-build the kernel. What gives?
I'm trying to upgrade my Alsa version (Ubuntu) in order to get access to my internal microphone.
Please help.
